Due to delays in the production of sarees, the government has planned the distribution in two distinct phases.
- Phase 1: Rural areas, from December 1 to December 9, coinciding with Mother’s Day celebrations.
- Phase 2: Urban areas, from March 1 to March 8, 2026, culminating on International Women’s Day.
The sarees for this programme are being produced by the weavers of Sirisilla, known for their expertise in textile craftsmanship. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to ensure that the quality of the sarees is not compromised at any stage. He also emphasized that the distribution process should be fully transparent.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, Revanth Reddy said the goal is to provide one crore sarees to one crore women, ensuring that every eligible woman receives an Indiramma saree without exception.
