Two Killed in Early Morning Road Accident in Maheshwaram, Rangareddy District

Two persons were killed on the spot in a road accident near Akanpally village under Maheshwaram police station limits in Rangareddy district early Friday morning.

Rangareddy: In a tragic road accident, two persons died on the spot while another sustained serious injury in the Maheshwaram police station limits of Rangareddy district during the early hours of Friday.

The accident occurred near Akanpally village, sending shockwaves through the local area.

Accident Occurred Around 3:20 AM

According to police officials, the mishap took place at around 3:20 AM when three persons were travelling in a Tavera car (AP 24 L 7290) from Kollapadakal towards Akanpally village.

  • The car reportedly lost control near Akanpally
  • The vehicle met with a serious accident
  • Two occupants died instantly at the scene

Victims Identified

The deceased were identified as:

  • Tavuti Srikanth (35)
  • Sangem Giri (32)

Both victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

Bodies Shifted to Osmania Hospital

Police shifted the bodies to Osmania Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.

The third person travelling in the car suffered severe injuries and was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be serious.

Case Registered, Investigation Underway

The Maheshwaram Police Station has registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Officials said further details will emerge after a detailed probe.

Rising Road Accidents a Concern

The incident once again highlights concern over road safety during night and early morning hours, especially on highways and village connecting roads in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
