Salar-e-Millat Gas Cylinder Scheme: Nampally MLA Majid Hussain Distributes LPG Cylinders and Helmets

Nampally MLA Majid Hussain distributed subsidised LPG cylinders to 800 families under the Salar-e-Millat scheme, along with helmets to promote road safety.

Hyderabad: Nampally MLA Majid Hussain on Tuesday distributed subsidised LPG cylinders to eligible beneficiaries under the 8th edition of the Salar-e-Millat Subsidised Gas Cylinder Scheme, providing relief to hundreds of low-income families in the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, Majid Hussain said the initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on poor households and promoting basic welfare support.

800 Families Benefit So Far

The MLA informed that:

  • Around 800 families have already received gas cylinders
  • Distribution will continue until application forms are closed
  • The scheme is being implemented entirely by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM)
  • No government funds are involved in the programme

He urged more eligible residents to apply and benefit from the scheme.

Cylinders at Just ₹500 Through Lucky Draw

As part of the programme:

  • Ten families received LPG cylinders for just ₹500 through a lucky draw
  • The remaining ₹3,500 was returned to the beneficiaries
  • Many recipients expressed gratitude for the financial relief

Beneficiaries said the scheme has helped them manage household expenses amid rising living costs.

Helmets Distributed to Promote Road Safety

Along with gas cylinders, helmets were also distributed to raise awareness about road safety. Majid Hussain noted that:

  • Several young lives have been lost in road accidents due to not wearing helmets
  • The initiative aims to encourage safe riding habits, especially among youth

Majid Hussain appealed to the public to:

  • Submit applications for the Salar-e-Millat Subsidised Gas Cylinder Scheme
  • Take advantage of welfare initiatives launched for the needy
