Cyberabad Police to Auction 304 Abandoned Vehicles, Final Notice Issued to Owners

Cyberabad Police will auction 304 abandoned vehicles through an online/public auction. Owners have six months to submit claims, failing which vehicles will be sold.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have announced an online/open public auction of 304 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles lying within the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits. The move comes after repeated attempts to trace owners failed, prompting police to issue a final notice.

The vehicles are currently parked at the Moinabad Police Station ground and Bowrampet, officials said.


Auction Under Police Acts, Owners Given Six Months

According to officials, the auction will be conducted under provisions of the Cyberabad (Metropolitan Area) Police Act, 2004, along with relevant sections of the Hyderabad City Police Act.

  • Owners or legal claimants, including those with hypothecation interests, must approach the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad
  • Claims must be submitted within six months from the notification date
  • If no valid claim is made, the vehicles will be auctioned without further notice

Vehicles Stored at Two Locations

The abandoned vehicles include different makes and categories and are stored at:

  • Moinabad Police Station Ground
  • Bowrampet area under Cyberabad limits
