GHMC Commissioner Makes Surprise Visit to Indira Park, Orders Cleanup and Repairs
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R.V. Karnan conducted a surprise inspection of Indira Park on Monday to review sanitation arrangements and the condition of infrastructure in the park.

The visit was carried out as part of the Telangana government’s Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika initiative aimed at improving public services and facilities.
During the inspection, the Commissioner noticed construction debris accumulated within the park premises and immediately directed officials to remove it without delay.

He also instructed the concerned authorities to begin repair work at the children’s play area on a priority basis so that it can be restored and reopened for children at the earliest.
Karnan emphasized the need to improve maintenance and ensure that Indira Park remains clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for visitors and tourists.
Zonal Commissioner Mangathayaru, Deputy Commissioner of Kavadiguda Pushpa Latha, and senior officials from the Solid Waste Management department were also present during the inspection.
