Hyderabad: Elegans Eagles registered an impressive 7–4 victory over FNCC Lions in the FNCC – Pullela Gopichand Badminton League 2026, held at the Film Nagar Cultural Center (FNCC) on April 11 and 12.
The two-day tournament witnessed exciting matches across multiple categories, with players from both teams delivering competitive performances.
In the Women’s Singles Junior category, Aaryama of Elegans Eagles defeated Aaradhya of FNCC Lions in a closely contested match (09-15, 15-08, 15-12). Kanvika further strengthened the Eagles’ position with a win over Lohitha (15-06, 11-15, 15-12).
FNCC Lions fought back strongly in the Women’s Singles category, where Rakshitha defeated Shreyanshi (15-12, 15-08), followed by Gatha’s win against Disha Santosh (15-14, 15-03).
In the Men’s Singles Junior, Krishna of FNCC Lions secured a victory over Chinmay (15-13, 15-04).

However, Elegans Eagles dominated the Men’s Singles category, with Pranit overcoming Dayan Santosh in a three-set thriller (11-15, 15-12, 15-12). Tazuwala defeated Rohan (15-09, 15-08), while Pranav Ram clinched a hard-fought win against Dattu (15-05, 09-15, 15-11).
In the Mixed Doubles, FNCC Lions’ pair Divyansh and Anushka Anagha edged past Hari and Varna of Elegans Eagles (15-11, 13-15, 15-11).
Elegans Eagles bounced back in the Women’s Doubles, where Varan and Riddhima defeated Anushka and Anagha (15-11, 15-13).
The decisive Men’s Doubles match saw Krishna and Sai Raman of Elegans Eagles secure a thrilling victory over Ishan and Om (15-07, 10-15, 15-14).
