Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, along with OU City Police Station, busted a chain snatching gang and arrested three accused persons and one receiver in connection with a chain snatching case.

- Pulipati Hemanth Kumar @ Nanu (25), resident of Patel Nagar, Amberpet
- Palle Deepak (26), resident of Ramanthapur
- Mal Shankuriya (20), resident of Ramanthapur, Amberpet
- Receiver: Kandkuru Ramachary (32), goldsmith, resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar
Seized Items in Hyderabad Chain Snatching Case
Police seized several items linked to the crime:
- Three pieces of gold chain weighing approximately 35.03 grams
- Honda Unicorn black bike (TS11ED4140) used in the offence
- New Pulsar N160 bike purchased using stolen money
- Two mobile phones
How the Chain Snatching Took Place in Habsiguda
According to police, the incident occurred on April 17, 2026, in the early hours near Karur Vysya Bank Street No. 04.
- The accused started from Amberpet on a Honda Unicorn bike
- Palle Deepak was riding the bike, while the other two were pillion riders
- They spotted a victim wearing a gold chain
- Two accused got down and forcibly snatched the gold chain
- They fled the scene together on the bike
Later, the chain was broken into three parts and shared, and part of the money was used to purchase a new bike.

Police confirmed that the accused were habitual offenders with multiple previous cases registered:
- Cases under Sections 324, 379, 380, 392, 420 IPC
- Recent cases under BNS Sections 118 (1), 118 (2), 115 (2)
