According to him, the commercial LPG price hike of nearly ₹1000 per cylinder has been given as a “May Day gift” to common people and workers employed in hotels.

The BRS leader pointed out that in Hyderabad:
- Yesterday’s price: ₹2321 per cylinder
- Today’s price: ₹3315 per cylinder
