Senior leader K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticized Narendra Modi over the ₹993 increase in commercial LPG cylinders, calling it unprecedented in the country’s history. Highlighting the commercial LPG price hike, KTR said that Hyderabad cylinder prices have risen from ₹2321 to ₹3315 from today, and alleged that such hikes usually happen after elections. KTR Targets Modi Over ₹993 Commercial LPG Price Hike

KTR said that never in the country’s history has such a massive increase of ₹993 been imposed on commercial cylinders. He alleged that increasing gas cylinder prices immediately after elections has become a habit of Modi.

According to him, the commercial LPG price hike of nearly ₹1000 per cylinder has been given as a “May Day gift” to common people and workers employed in hotels.

Hyderabad Cylinder Prices Jump from ₹2321 to ₹3315

The BRS leader pointed out that in Hyderabad:

  • Yesterday’s price: ₹2321 per cylinder
  • Today’s price: ₹3315 per cylinder

This sharp increase reflects the direct impact of the ₹993 hike.

Impact on Youth, Workers and Mess-Dependent People

KTR stated that the price hike will create difficulties for:

  • Youth who depend on hostels and mess facilities for food
  • People working in hotels and food businesses

He warned that the increased cost of commercial LPG cylinders will directly affect daily expenses.

Political Allegations Over Timing of Price Hike

KTR alleged that raising gas cylinder prices after elections has become a pattern under Modi, and criticized the timing of the increase.

These remarks were made as part of a political response to the recent price hike.

The ₹993 commercial LPG price hike, which raised Hyderabad cylinder prices from ₹2321 to ₹3315, has triggered strong criticism from KTR, who accused Modi of imposing the increase after elections. He said the move will affect common people, hotel workers, and youth dependent on mess facilities, making it a major issue amid rising costs.
