Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Civil Court issued significant interim orders in the defamation case filed by Telangana minister Seethakka against Bharat Rashtra Samithi over allegations related to Anganwadi mobile phone purchases.

According to the court, the allegations made by BRS regarding corruption in the procurement of Anganwadi mobile phones were found to be false propaganda after examination of official records.

Court Rejects BRS Claims on Mobile Phone Prices
According to the court findings:
- The Telangana government purchased each mobile phone at Rs. 11,650
- Total procurement value stood at Rs. 44.42 crore
The court said BRS falsely alleged that:
- A mobile phone worth Rs. 8,499 was purchased for Rs. 14,499
The court concluded that the allegations circulated by BRS lacked factual basis.
Court Agrees With Seethakka’s Reputation Damage Argument
The court reportedly agreed with the argument made by Minister Seethakka that the allegations were intended to damage her reputation.
Following the controversy, Seethakka filed a defamation suit against:
- BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao
- The BRS social media wing
In the case, advocate Naguluri Krishna Kumar presented arguments on behalf of Seethakka.
Court Issues Directions to BRS and KCR
The Hyderabad City Civil Court issued orders against both the BRS party and K Chandrashekhar Rao in connection with the controversial social media posts and allegations.
The court’s interim order directed immediate removal of the disputed content from official party platforms.
