Hyderabad Baby Kidnapping Case: Police Rescue 6-Month-Old Infant in 48 Hours, 5 Arrested

Suraram Police rescued a 6-month-old kidnapped baby within 48 hours in Hyderabad and arrested five accused, including two juveniles, in the case.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly kidnapped a 6-month-old baby sleeping with family members on a footpath in Hyderabad in order to gift the child to her childless relative.

The infant was safely rescued within 48 hours by Cyberabad Police and Suraram Police, who arrested five accused, including two juveniles, in connection with the kidnapping case.

According to police, the baby was rescued safely from Rajendranagar.

Accused Conducted Recce Near Narayana Malla Reddy Hospital

Police said the accused gang conducted a recce near Narayana Malla Reddy Hospital before carrying out the kidnapping.

According to investigators:

  • The family was sleeping on a footpath near the hospital
  • The accused waited until the family fell asleep
  • The infant was allegedly kidnapped from the footpath
  • The accused fled from the location on a motorcycle

Police alleged that the kidnapping was planned with the intention of gifting the baby to a childless relative.

CCTV Footage and Technical Evidence Helped Crack Case

Investigators said CCTV footage and technical evidence played a key role in solving the kidnapping case.

Police teams tracked the movement of the accused using surveillance footage and technical investigation methods.

Within 48 hours of the incident, the infant was traced and rescued safely.

Five Arrested Including Two Juveniles

Police arrested a total of five accused in connection with the kidnapping case.

According to officials:

  • Five persons were arrested
  • Two of the accused are juveniles
  • The rescued infant was safely recovered in Rajendranagar

Further investigation into the case is currently underway.

Cyberabad Police Continue Investigation

Police officials are continuing the investigation to determine the complete sequence of events and the involvement of all accused persons in the kidnapping case.
