Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Powers India to 192/5
India arrived in Zimbabwe after disappointing T20I series defeats in Ireland and England, but responded with an impressive all-round performance throughout the tour.
Batting first on a slow pitch, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi laid the foundation with a sparkling 81, helping India post 192/5 in 20 overs.
Ishan Kishan contributed 29, while Brad Evans claimed 2-41 and Blessing Muzarabani picked up 1-33 for Zimbabwe.
Mayank Yadav and Yash Thakur Rock Zimbabwe Early
Chasing 193, Zimbabwe suffered an early setback when Mayank Yadav struck with the very first ball of the innings, just as he had done in the first T20I.
The express pacer bowled a 147kph delivery that moved away from Brian Bennett, who edged the ball to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at first slip.
Yash Thakur then delivered a crucial double strike in the fourth over.

He first dismissed Dion Myers (19) with a clever 125kph bouncer, which was caught by Shreyas Iyer.
On the very next ball, Thakur forced Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza into a leading edge with a 143kph delivery before completing a spectacular one-handed catch in his follow-through.
Although Ryan Burl denied Thakur a hat-trick by driving the next ball for four, India reduced Zimbabwe to three wickets inside the powerplay.
Ryan Burl Fights Back but India Stay in Control
Ryan Burl and Ben Curran attempted to rebuild Zimbabwe’s innings with a 31-run partnership before Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Curran, who reverse-swept to short third man.
Later, Ryan Burl and Wessly Madhevere added 60 runs, with both batters attacking the Indian bowlers. Burl struck Abhishek Sharma for a four and a six, while Madhevere played aggressive shots against Yash Thakur.
The partnership ended when Mayank Yadav dismissed Wessly Madhevere (28), who was caught at mid-wicket. Mayank also removed Brad Evans, who was caught at cover.
Ashok Sharma then claimed his first international wicket by knocking over Tadiwanashe Marumani’s off stump.
Despite Ryan Burl remaining unbeaten on 54 off 42 balls, Zimbabwe finished on 157/7, falling 35 runs short of India’s total.

Despite dropping five catches in the field, India comfortably defended their total to seal the series.
