Hyderabad MDMA Drug Racket Busted: Three IT Employees Arrested After 7.44 Grams Seized in Hayathnagar Raid

Three Hyderabad IT employees were arrested after Excise STF seized 7.44 grams of MDMA in Hayathnagar during a drug racket investigation.

Hyderabad: Three Hyderabad IT employees were arrested in an MDMA drug racket after the Excise STF seized 7.44 grams of MDMA during a raid in Hayathnagar.

According to officials, the accused were allegedly involved in purchasing and selling MDMA drugs sourced from Bengaluru and supplying them in Hyderabad for profits.

The arrested accused were later handed over to Hayathnagar Excise Police for further investigation.

Software Employee Allegedly Quit Job to Source Drugs

Police said one of the accused, a software employee, allegedly quit his job and began sourcing MDMA drugs from Bengaluru.

Investigators stated that another accused allegedly invested money in the illegal operation with the expectation of receiving a share in the profits generated from drug sales.

A third IT employee was allegedly caught while attempting to purchase the MDMA drugs during the operation.

MDMA Bought in Bengaluru, Sold at Higher Prices in Hyderabad

According to Excise STF officials:

  • MDMA was allegedly purchased in Bengaluru for around Rs. 2,000 per gram
  • The drugs were allegedly sold in Hyderabad for Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 per gram

Officials said the accused were involved in the illegal drug trade for financial gains.

7.44 Grams of MDMA Seized During Raid

During the raid conducted in Hayathnagar, the Excise STF seized:

  • 7.44 grams of MDMA

The operation led to the arrest of all three accused connected to the alleged drug racket.

Further investigation is underway to identify additional links and possible supply networks connected to the accused.

Hayathnagar Excise Police Continue Investigation

The arrested accused were handed over to Hayathnagar Excise Police for further legal action.

Officials are continuing the investigation into the MDMA supply chain and financial transactions connected to the case.
