Hyderabad Traffic Police Crack Fake Number Plate Case, Syed Rizwan Ali Booked by Attapur Police

Hyderabad Traffic Police booked Syed Rizwan Ali in a fake Hyundai Creta number plate case registered at Attapur Police Station under BNS and Motor Vehicles Act sections.

Hyderabad Traffic Police and Attapur Police Station detected a fake number plate case during traffic enforcement operations and apprehended Syed Rizwan Ali for allegedly using a fake registration plate on a Hyundai Creta vehicle.

According to police, the accused was identified as Syed Rizwan Ali, son of Syed Adil Ahmed, aged 28 years, resident of Happy Home Fortune, Upparpally, Rajendranagar, Ranga Reddy district, and native of Elugendal village in Karimnagar district.

Police registered FIR No. 547/2026 at Attapur Police Station under Sections 318(4), 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Fake Number Plate Used to Avoid Traffic Challans

According to the Hyderabad Traffic Police, Syed Rizwan Ali allegedly used fake registration number plate MH04KW7706 on a Hyundai Creta vehicle to mislead government authorities and enforcement agencies.

Police stated that the accused intended to avoid traffic violation challan fines by using the fake number plate.

Officials said the accused committed multiple traffic violations using the fake registration number.

Mumbai Vehicle Owner Wrongly Received Traffic Challans

Police said the traffic challans generated due to the violations were wrongly issued against the legitimate registered owner of vehicle number MH04KW7706, identified as:

  • Yash Manoj Palrecha
  • Resident of Vaishali Nagar, Mulund West, Mumbai

According to officials, the fake registration plate was attached to a Hyundai Creta vehicle being used by the accused in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police Register FIR No. 547/2026

Following the investigation, Attapur Police registered FIR No. 547/2026 under:

  • Sections 318(4) and 319(2) of BNS
  • Section 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act

Police also issued a notice to Syed Rizwan Ali under Section 35(3) of BNSS corresponding to Section 41 Cr.P.C.

Officials stated that further investigation is underway to identify the actual registration number of the vehicle allegedly used by the accused.

Hyderabad Traffic Police Use CCTV and ANPR Cameras

According to the press note, the case was detected through coordinated efforts of Hyderabad Traffic Police and Attapur Police.

Police stated that Hyderabad Traffic Police are equipped with advanced technological systems including:

  • CCTV surveillance
  • ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras

These systems are being used to detect vehicles using fake, identical, or tampered number plates and to track vehicle movements effectively.

Public Warned Against Fake and Tampered Number Plates

Hyderabad Traffic Police warned that using fake, identical, or tampered vehicle number plates is a serious punishable offence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act.
