KTR Slams Centre Over CBSE Marks Fiasco, Links Globarena to 2019 Telangana Intermediate Results Debacle

KTR criticized the Centre over the CBSE marks controversy, alleging that Globarena, linked to the 2019 Telangana Intermediate results debacle, was entrusted with a major responsibility despite its past record.

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday criticized the Centre over the ongoing CBSE marks controversy, alleging that the company at the centre of the issue, Globarena, was also responsible for the Telangana Intermediate results debacle in 2019. KTR demanded accountability from the Union government and the Union Education Ministry, while expressing support for Class 12 students protesting against alleged irregularities in the evaluation process.

In a statement issued in Hyderabad, KTR praised students who have been demanding transparency and fairness in the CBSE evaluation process.

KTR Praises Students Demanding Accountability

KTR extended his appreciation to Class 12 students who are raising concerns over the CBSE marks controversy.

He said the determination and courage shown by students across the country in questioning what he described as glaring irregularities in the evaluation process was inspiring.

According to KTR, students and parents have every right to seek transparency and fairness when their future is at stake.

Expressing serious concern over the issue, KTR alleged that Globarena, the company at the centre of the current CBSE marks controversy, was the same organisation involved in the Telangana Intermediate results debacle in 2019.

“It is unfortunate that Globarena, the same company that botched the Telangana Intermediate results in 2019, appears to have merely changed its name and gone on to secure an even bigger contract from the CBSE, only to create a much larger chaos affecting students across the country,” he said.

KTR Recalls Action Taken by BRS Government

KTR said that after the Telangana Intermediate results controversy in 2019, the then BRS government acted quickly and responsibly.

He stated that a three-member committee was constituted to investigate the issue. Based on the committee’s findings, the officials concerned were removed from their positions and legal action was initiated against Globarena.

“For the record, when the Globarena fiasco happened in Telangana, the BRS government did not look the other way. We constituted a committee, acted on its findings, removed the responsible officials and took the company to court,” KTR said.

Allegation That CBSE Ignored Warning Signs

KTR further alleged that despite the company’s controversial history and lessons from Telangana’s experience, the CBSE Board ignored warning signs and continued to engage an organisation with what he described as a questionable track record.

“It is shocking that the CBSE appears to have repeatedly modified rules and procedures only to accommodate a highly incompetent organisation. Such decisions have now put the future of lakhs of students at risk,” he alleged.

Demand for Answers From Union Government

Holding the Union government accountable for the situation, KTR demanded an explanation from the Centre and the Union Education Ministry.

“The Union government must answer for this mess. The Education Minister must explain how a company with such a history was entrusted with a critical responsibility involving the future of millions of students,” he said.

Current Status

The controversy relates to allegations raised by students regarding the CBSE marks evaluation process. KTR’s statements represent allegations and demands made by the BRS Working President. No response from the CBSE, the Union Education Ministry, or Globarena was included in the statement.

Conclusion

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao criticized the Centre over the CBSE marks controversy and linked Globarena to the Telangana Intermediate results debacle of 2019. He praised students seeking accountability, alleged that warning signs about the company were ignored, and demanded answers from the Union government and the Union Education Ministry regarding the handling of a matter affecting lakhs of students.
