Water Board Union Election Results Show Workers’ Support for Congress Government: TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud

TPCC President and Party MLC Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday said that the results of the Hyderabad Water Board recognized labour union election clearly demonstrate that workers and employees support the Congress government. He made the remarks during a felicitation meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan to honour Mogulla Raji Reddy, who secured a resounding victory as president in the Water Board’s recognized labour union election.

The TPCC chief said the election outcome reflected workers’ faith in the Congress party and expressed confidence that the party would achieve similar success in the upcoming GHMC elections.

Felicitation Meeting Held for Mogulla Raji Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan

A felicitation meeting was organized on Sunday at Gandhi Bhavan, Hyderabad, for Mogulla Raji Reddy, who won the post of president in the Hyderabad Water Board recognized labour union election.

Addressing the gathering, Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud congratulated all workers who participated in the election and voted for the Telangana Water Board Employees Union, helping secure its victory.

He also extended special congratulations to Mogulla Raji Reddy and his team for their impressive win.

Congress Confident of Success in GHMC Elections

Mahesh Kumar Goud said that just as the Congress flag was hoisted through INTUC, the party would also achieve victory in the upcoming GHMC elections.

He criticized the previous BRS administration, alleging that it failed to respond during the RTC strike. In contrast, he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, negotiations were held with RTC workers and the strike was called off within just three days.

Criticism of BRS Over Worker Issues

The TPCC President alleged that BRS leaders kept organizations such as Singareni and the Water Board under tight control and caused hardships to workers.

He specifically referred to Harish Rao, alleging that he continued to dominate the Water Board.

According to Mahesh Kumar Goud, after the Congress government came to power, workers were able to freely exercise their democratic right to elect their leaders.

He advised Mogulla Raji Reddy’s team to stand by workers during both their joys and hardships.

Praise for T.J.E.U. and INTUC Leaders

Mahesh Kumar Goud praised Sanjeeva Reddy for his significant efforts in securing victory for the T.J.E.U. (affiliated with INTUC).

He assured workers that their issues would be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister and efforts would be made to resolve them.

According to him, the victory in the Water Board elections reflects workers’ self-respect and their faith in the Congress party.

He added that the Congress government would work with even greater sincerity for workers’ welfare in the future.

Mogulla Raji Reddy Thanks Supporters

Speaking at the event, Mogulla Raji Reddy thanked everyone who contributed to his victory and acknowledged supporters individually.

He expressed special gratitude for the massive majority secured by candidates backed by the Congress party and the INTUC-affiliated Telangana Water Board Employees Union in the Water Board election.

He described the victory as a significant achievement after twelve years.

Mogulla Raji Reddy stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Ministers Vivek Venkataswamy and Ponnam Prabhakar had extended full support and cooperation.

He pledged to bring Water Board workers’ issues to the notice of the government and work toward resolving them as quickly as possible.
