CM Revanth Reddy Vows to Complete Musi River Rejuvenation, Announces SLBC Completion Before Next Elections in Nalgonda
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy vowed to complete the Musi River rejuvenation project, announced 100% completion of the SLBC Project before the next elections, inaugurated an ₹83 crore drinking water project in Nalgonda, and highlighted the government's achievements.

Nalgonda: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday declared that he would complete the Musi River rejuvenation project despite any obstacles and announced that the SLBC Project would be completed 100 percent before the next elections to bring Krishna River waters to Nalgonda. Speaking at a public meeting at the NG College Grounds after inaugurating development works, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for an ₹83 crore drinking water project in Nalgonda Municipal Corporation under Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDC).

Revanth Reddy Reaffirms Commitment to Musi River Rejuvenation
Addressing the public meeting at NG College Grounds, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said:
“It is my dream to rejuvenate the Musi River. I promise that I will complete the Musi rejuvenation.”
He further stated that the pollution in the Musi River has severely affected the people of Ibrahimpatnam, Bhuvanagiri, Munugode, and Nalgonda.
The Chief Minister said:
“Some people are opposing the Musi rejuvenation project. Whoever tries to stop it, we will complete the Musi rejuvenation and make it a model for the entire country. I will ensure liberation for the people of Nalgonda district.”
SLBC Project to Be Completed Before Next Elections
The Chief Minister announced that the SLBC Project would be completed 100 percent before the next elections, ensuring that Krishna River water reaches Nalgonda.
He also assured support for completing the Dindi Project.
₹83 Crore Drinking Water Project Launched in Nalgonda
After unveiling the pylon for HAM roads at the Kanagal Market Yard in Nalgonda district, the Chief Minister reached Nalgonda town and laid the foundation stone for a ₹83 crore drinking water scheme under TUFIDC in the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation.

- Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy

Government Highlights 30 Months of Welfare and Development
The Chief Minister said he was ready to hold a discussion on the Assembly floor regarding what the people’s government had achieved during the past 30 months. He also criticized the previous government, alleging that “100 years of destruction took place in 10 years in Telangana.”
He highlighted several welfare and development initiatives, including:
- Lakhs of new ration cards issued after the previous government allegedly did not issue even one.
- Distribution of 6 kg of fine rice each to 3.28 crore people.
- ₹5 lakh assistance for Indiramma Houses for poor families.
- Free electricity up to 200 units for landless poor families.
- LPG cylinder for ₹500.
- ₹1.56 lakh crore spent on farmers’ welfare during the past 30 months.
- Procurement of 80 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, which he said created a record.
- Permanent solution for the long-pending SC categorisation issue.
- Conducting a caste census.
- Filling 70,000 government jobs in 30 months, stating that no other state in the country had provided so many jobs.
Education and Skill Development Initiatives
The Chief Minister said the government has:
- Introduced education from Nursery to Class 12 in government schools.
- Started a programme providing breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks to students.
- Developed the Telangana Model School at Arutla.
- Established a Skills University.
- Converted ITIs into ATCs.
- Focused on improving students’ skills so that hundreds of students from government schools could emerge as future leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Chief Minister Hands Over Cheques
During the programme, the Chief Minister handed over cheques to representatives of the Neelagiri District Women’s Federation (Nalgonda).
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reiterated that he would complete the Musi River rejuvenation project despite all obstacles and announced that the SLBC Project would be completed before the next elections. During his visit to Nalgonda, he also laid the foundation stone for an ₹83 crore drinking water project, highlighted the government’s achievements over the past 30 months, outlined welfare and education initiatives, and distributed cheques to representatives of the Neelagiri District Women’s Federation (Nalgonda).
