A 25-year-old Telangana student, Srinath Reddy, from Talamadla village in Tadwai mandal of Kamareddy district, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in London on June 23, hours after speaking to his family. Srinath had gone to the United Kingdom last year for higher education. His family has appealed to the Central Government and the Telangana Government to bring his body back to his hometown and help determine the cause of his death. Telangana Student Srinath Reddy Found Dead in London

According to the report, Srinath Reddy, aged 25, had travelled to the United Kingdom last year to pursue higher education.

He belonged to Talamadla village in Tadwai mandal of Kamareddy district, Telangana.

He was found dead in his room at his residence in London on June 23 under suspicious circumstances.

Last Phone Call With Family Before Death

According to family members, Srinath attended a friend’s birthday party in London on the night of June 22.

His father, Madhusudhan Reddy, said Srinath called home later that night and spoke with the family.

According to the family:

  • Srinath sounded happy, excited and normal during the call.
  • They noticed no signs of anxiety or unusual behaviour.

Body Found the Next Morning

According to information received from the son of another relative living in London, Srinath’s roommate found his body in the room on the morning of June 23.

According to preliminary information cited in the report, he is suspected to have died by hanging.

However, the family alleged that the roommate did not immediately inform Srinath’s friends or family members after the incident.

The relatives said the delay in informing them has raised several questions and suspicions regarding the circumstances of his death.

Family Seeks Centre and Telangana Government’s Intervention

The grieving family has appealed to both the Central Government and the Telangana Government to:

  • Bring Srinath Reddy’s body back to Talamadla village as soon as possible.
  • Coordinate with the UK authorities.
  • Help ascertain the actual cause of his death.
  • Extend full support to the family.
