Five-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped from Secunderabad Railway Station Rescued Safely, Accused Arrested

Police said the accused appeared before them with the child on Thursday evening. During initial questioning, he claimed that he had found Nikhil on June 30. However, after sustained interrogation, he allegedly confessed to kidnapping the boy from the railway station.

Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped from Secunderabad Railway Station has been rescued safely, and the accused has been arrested, police said.

According to the police, the child, identified as Nikhil, was sleeping with his mother on a platform at Secunderabad Railway Station on the night of June 20 when the accused allegedly abducted him.

Following the incident, the Railway Police launched an investigation and examined CCTV footage from the station. The footage reportedly showed the child walking hand-in-hand with the accused, prompting investigators to intensify the search operation.

The police conducted a video call with the child’s family to confirm his identity before handing Nikhil over safely to his parents.

A case has been registered against the accused under Section 137 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to the Secunderabad Railway Police, the accused will be produced before a court, while further investigation into the case is underway.
