UIDAI Lets Users Update Aadhaar Email ID Free via Mobile App till December 31

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has introduced a major convenience for Aadhaar users by allowing them to update or add an email ID in Aadhaar through the official Aadhaar mobile app without visiting an Aadhaar Centre. The service is available free of cost for six months, from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, and has already received a strong response, with more than 2,50,000 users successfully updating their email IDs.

Free Aadhaar Email ID Update Through Mobile App
Under the latest update introduced by UIDAI, Aadhaar holders can now update an existing email ID or add a new email ID directly through the official Aadhaar mobile application.
Users no longer need to visit an Aadhaar Centre for this service.
The free facility is available from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

The new feature has received an encouraging response across the country.
According to the update, more than 2,50,000 people have already successfully updated their Aadhaar-linked email IDs using the mobile app.
