CM Revanth Reddy Orders Fast-Track Telangana Tourism Projects, Focus on Eco-Tourism, Vikarabad and Global Investment Summit
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed Telangana tourism projects and directed officials to accelerate eco-tourism development, upgrade Hyderabad tourist attractions, develop Vikarabad, and prepare for the Global Investment Summit.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday directed officials to speed up tourism development projects across the state during a high-level review meeting. The Chief Minister instructed the Tourism Department to work with the Forest Department to develop eco-tourism on forest lands within the Hyderabad Core Urban Area and outlined a series of projects covering Bharat Future City, Vikarabad, heritage sites, and tourism infrastructure.

CM Reviews Telangana Tourism Projects at High-Level Meeting
The review meeting was held at the Bodhi Pavilion in MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad.
The meeting was attended by:
- K. Ramakrishna Rao, Advisor to the Chief Minister.
- Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government.
- Vani Prasad, Special Chief Secretary, Tourism Department.
- Other senior government officials.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of tourism development projects planned across Telangana and directed officials to accelerate the execution of the identified works.
Eco-Tourism Planned on Forest Lands
The Chief Minister instructed officials to develop eco-tourism projects jointly through the Tourism Department and the Forest Department on forest lands located within the Hyderabad Core Urban Area.
He also directed officials to develop internationally recognized tourism destinations on forest lands within the Bharat Future City limits.
Revanth Reddy suggested developing more eco parks in Hyderabad on the lines of the Gurranguda Eco Park.
Taramati Baradari, Durgam Cheruvu and Guest Houses to Be Upgraded
The Chief Minister instructed officials to further develop major tourist destinations in Hyderabad.
He specifically directed that:
- Taramati Baradari should be made more attractive for tourists.
- Durgam Cheruvu should be developed into a full-fledged tourist destination.
- Manjeera Guest House and Dilkusha Guest House should be modernized.
Vikarabad Tourism Hub to Focus on Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple
Under the Tourism Hub Development Scheme, the Chief Minister instructed officials to develop Vikarabad as a major tourism destination.
He said special priority should be given to the development of the Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple in Vikarabad.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to establish a Temple Management Committee for the temple on the lines of Yadagirigutta.
Eco-Tourism Projects Under CURE Initiative
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to develop eco-tourism projects similar to Urban Forests under the CURE initiative.
He also directed that special officers be appointed to speed up the implementation of these projects.
Heritage Bridges to Be Developed as Tourist Attractions
The Chief Minister instructed officials to prepare and implement plans to develop heritage bridges in Hyderabad, including Puranapul, as tourist destinations.
He said that after the development works are completed, traffic may be diverted through alternate routes if required to provide better access for tourists.
Preparations for Global Investment Summit to Begin
Reviewing investments in the tourism sector, the Chief Minister instructed officials to immediately begin preparations for the Global Investment Summit, scheduled to be held in December.
He also directed officials to constitute high-level committees to ensure coordination among various government departments for the successful conduct of the summit.
Chief Minister A.
