Hyderabad Drug Bust: Attapur Police Arrest 5 in NDPS Case, Seize MDMA, Hyter-M Injections, Alprazolam and Rs 16,930 Cash

The Attapur Police arrested five accused in a case involving the illegal possession, transportation, sale and purchase of contraband narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including MDMA, Hyter-M Mephentermine Sulphate injections and Alprazolam, in Crime No. 797/2026. The case was registered under Sections 22(b), 27A, 29 and Section 8(c) read with 27(a) of the NDPS Act, 1985 at Attapur Police Station. The raid was conducted at A1’s room near Scrap Shop, New Jalal Baba Nagar, Attapur, where police seized narcotic substances, cash and other material. Two accused are absconding, while the investigation is continuing.

Five Arrested, Two Accused Absconding

Police identified the accused as:

• A1: Baquar, resident of Darul-ul-Shifa, Hyderabad – Supplier (Absconding)
• A2: Syed Abul Hassan, son of Syed Anwar Hussain, 34, Auto Driver, resident of MM Pahadi, Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Peddler & Consumer
• A3: Saif Ali Mirza, son of Hadi Ali Mirza, 21, Sign Board Worker, resident of MM Pahadi, Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Sub-peddler & Consumer
• A4: Mujahid @ Mujju – Sub-peddler (Absconding)
• A5: Ahmed Hussain, son of Maqbool Hussain, 24, Auto Driver, resident of Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Sub-peddler & Consumer
• A6: Shaik Ayub, son of Late Shaik Haider, 27, Hardware Worker, resident of Bhoopal Nagar, Attapur – Sub-peddler & Consumer
• A7: Mir Shabbir Ali @ Shabbir, son of Mir Ahmed Ali, 38, Labour & Sales Coordinator (works at Dubai), resident of Yakutpura, Hyderabad – Sub-peddler & Consumer

Police arrested A2, A3, A5, A6 and A7, while A1 Baquar and A4 Mujahid @ Mujju are absconding.

Seizures Made During the Raid

Police seized the following items:

• MDMA – 6.65 grams
• Hyter-M Mephentermine Sulphate injections – 05
• Sachets of Alprazolam tablets – 05
• Unused syringes – 02
• One packet of paper glass tips
• Knife – 01
• Mobile phones – 05
• Net cash – Rs. 16,930
• One empty black colour carry bag

Drug Racket Busted in Attapur

According to police, the offence occurred on July 8, 2026, at about 6:00 pm, at A1’s room near Scrap Shop, New Jalal Baba Nagar, Attapur, within the limits of Attapur Police Station, Hyderabad.

Police said the case relates to the illegal possession, transportation, sale and purchase of MDMA, Hyter-M Mephentermine Sulphate injections and Alprazolam.

Based on credible information, police rushed to the location and apprehended A2, A3 and A5 to A7, who were allegedly found in possession of 6.5 grams of MDMA packed in five small polythene covers (P-1 to P-5). The material was packed, sealed and labelled in the presence of panch witnesses, with signatures of the panch witnesses, clues team members, accused persons and the investigating officer affixed on the panch chits.

Police Allegations Against the Accused

According to police, A2 Syed Abul Hassan is a habitual and notorious offender with several previous property, bodily and NDPS-related cases in the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates.

Police alleged that A2 regularly procured MDMA, Hyter-M Mephentermine Sulphate injections and Alprazolam tablets from A1 Baquar of Darul-ul-Shifa at Rs. 2,200 per gram.

Police further alleged that A2, with the help of A3 Saif Ali Mirza, A4 Mujahid @ Mujju, A5 Ahmed Hussain, A6 Shaik Ayub and A7 Mir Shabbir Ali @ Shabbir, sold the drugs to customers at higher prices to earn easy money for a lavish lifestyle and also consumed the narcotic substances.
