COVID-19 Cases Rising Again in India | Doctors Warn: Don’t Ignore These Symptoms

COVID-19 cases are once again showing a gradual rise across the country, prompting health experts to urge people not to ignore symptoms that may appear similar to common seasonal illnesses.

Hyderabad: COVID-19 cases are once again showing a gradual rise across the country, prompting health experts to urge people not to ignore symptoms that may appear similar to common seasonal illnesses.

Doctors say many people are mistaking COVID-19 symptoms for viral fever or weather-related infections, delaying testing and treatment. Medical experts warn that such negligence could lead to faster community transmission of the virus.

According to health experts, the most commonly reported symptoms include fever, persistent dry cough, and severe body aches. Other warning signs include extreme fatigue, sore throat, and loss of smell or taste. Anyone experiencing these symptoms is advised to isolate immediately and undergo a COVID-19 test instead of self-medicating.

Doctors have also urged senior citizens and people with underlying health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses to remain extra cautious, as they are at a higher risk of developing severe illness.

Health experts continue to recommend basic preventive measures, including wearing face masks in crowded places, maintaining hand hygiene by using sanitizer or washing hands regularly, and following social distancing wherever possible.

Authorities have advised the public to stay alert, seek medical advice if symptoms develop, and avoid spreading misinformation, while following official health guidelines.
