The weather change is being driven by a low-pressure area over West Bengal that originated over north Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining West Bengal, with officials warning that wind speeds could reach 50-60 kmph in isolated areas.

IMD Issues Telangana Weather Alert
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the low-pressure area that was over north Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining West Bengal is currently active over the West Bengal neighbourhood.
The weather system extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. Officials said the low-pressure area is expected to gradually weaken over the next 24 hours.
However, the monsoon trough at mean sea level has shifted towards the northeast Bay of Bengal, leading to the forecast of widespread rainfall across Telangana during the next three days.

Telangana Rain Forecast for the Next Three Days
The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has predicted light to moderate rainfall across Telangana over the next three days.
According to the forecast:
- Thunderstorms and lightning are likely at isolated places.
