Journalists Boycott Telangana Cabinet Press Conference Over Alleged Discrimination in Media Invitations

Hyderabad: Journalists on Saturday reportedly boycotted the media briefing held after the Telangana Cabinet meeting, expressing dissatisfaction over the alleged selective invitation of media organisations to a political conference in New Delhi.

According to reports, the protest was triggered after only a few media outlets, allegedly considered favourable, were sent to cover an election-related conference held in Delhi. Journalists expressed resentment over what they described as discriminatory treatment by the state’s Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

In protest against the alleged selective allocation of media coverage opportunities, several journalists chose to boycott the post-Cabinet press conference.
