Hyderabad: A woman allegedly broke down in tears after claiming that an RTC bus conductor assaulted her when she questioned why the bus had failed to stop at her designated destination in Telangana.

According to the woman, she boarded an RTC bus at Shamshabad and purchased a ticket to Madanpalli Tanda. However, she alleged that the bus did not stop at Madanpalli Tanda and instead halted at Kothur.

When she questioned the conductor about why the bus had not stopped at her designated stop, the conductor allegedly slapped and assaulted her, she claimed.

The woman, visibly distressed, narrated the incident and alleged that she was attacked merely for asking the reason for the change in the stopping point.

The allegations have raised concerns over passenger safety and the conduct of RTC staff. Further details regarding the incident, including the bus service involved and any action by transport authorities, are awaited.
