Mancherial Tragedy: Mother Dies by Suicide After Jumping into Well With 6-Year-Old Daughter
A tragic incident was reported from Lingapur village in Dandepalli mandal of Mancherial district, where a 26-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping into an agricultural well with her six-year-old daughter.

The deceased was identified as Gotla Rajitha (26), while her daughter was identified as Akshita (6). Rajitha had married Merugu Anjaiah, a resident of Venugumatla in Gollapalli mandal of Jagtial district, around seven years ago. The couple also had an 18-month-old son, Mahender.
According to preliminary information, frequent quarrels between Rajitha and her husband had reportedly led her to stay at her parents’ home for some time. Anjaiah would occasionally visit the house to meet their children.
On Sunday morning, Rajitha’s parents had left for work when Anjaiah reportedly arrived to see the children. During the visit, an argument allegedly broke out between the couple.

After Anjaiah left, Rajitha reportedly put her infant son to sleep and took her daughter with her to an agricultural well located near the village. She allegedly tied Akshita to her waist before jumping into the well.
Before taking the extreme step, Rajitha reportedly called her sister, who lives in Jannaram mandal, and informed her about what she was about to do.
Following the incident, police initiated an investigation and began gathering details about the circumstances leading to the deaths. Further investigation is underway.
