Five killed, 4 hurt as tractor overturns in Warangal

Warangal: Five people were killed and four others injured when the tractor they were travelling in lost control and overturned at Ashoknagar outskirts of Khanapur Mandal in this district on Wednesday.

The accident occurred when the victims were proceeding to Narsampet to purchase wedding related items, police said.

Three people were killed on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Narsampet.

The deceased were identified as G SWamy (48), G Sitha (45), J Govind (65), J Bichamma (60), and G Santhamma (4).

Meanwhile, Narsampet TRS MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy along with ACP Sampath Rao visited the spot and consoled the bereaved family members.
