Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e- Inquilab-e-Millat party treasurer, MA Qavi Abbasi has given a call to purchase from shops owned by Muslims for Ramadan. His suggestion has triggered a controversy.
“When they boycott us, we should also boycott them,” Telangana Today quoted him as saying.
Speaking to media, he appealed to Muslims to ‘purchase from shops owned by Muslims and no other communities’.
Saying that let there be tit for tat he also suggested lodging complaints with the police about disturbance from temples like air pollution and noise pollution. He is quoted to have said, “The sleep of people gets disturbed in the morning, if they have objection to Masjid loud speakers. They have started and we will end it. Lodge a complaint with the police and Pollution Control Board.”
However, several Muslims condemned his suggestion and vehemently criticised him on social media platforms.
