Hyderabad: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared that banks within the city will remain closed for a total of eight days in September due to various holidays. This month will see a total of 17 holidays, including Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays, as permitted by the Negotiable Instruments Act.
It’s important to note that these holidays might differ across states. Consequently, not all banks nationwide will be shut for all 17 days. In Hyderabad, banks will observe closures on Sundays, the second Saturday, and also on September 7th, 18th, and 28th in observance of Janmashtami, Vinayaka Chaturthi, and Eid-E-Milad respectively.
Even during these closed days, online banking services will remain available for use.
