Tokyo: Belgium claimed the men’s hockey gold medal after winning a shoot-out against Australia in the final here at the Tokyo Olympic Games on Thursday.
Florent van Aubel put Belgium ahead in the 32nd minute, but Tom Joseph Wickham from Australia leveled the score in the 47th minute. No side managed to move ahead again afterward, and Belgium came out the winner 3-2 in the shoot-out .
India edged Germany 5-4 to bag home a bronze.
