Hyderabad: Telangana politics are changing dramatically ahead of the assembly elections. With the Dussehra festival coming to an end, the political parties are going to run the campaign.
Top BJP leaders released the first list of the party candidates and focused on the State. Several public meetings of the national leaders of the party are being planned across the State.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Telangana on October 27. He will be addressing an election rally in Suryapet. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also visit the State on October 31 and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit the State on October 28 and 29.
Amit Shah, who is visiting the State for a public meeting in Suryapet district, is likely to meet Telangana BJP leaders. He is likely to hold separate meetings with the disgruntled party leaders and brief them on the party’s strategy for the assembly elections.
Some of the seniors did not find a place in the first list announced by the party recently. All of them are deeply dissatisfied with this.
From the very beginning, they have been openly commenting on what is the point of giving tickets to parachuted leaders and not those who are in the party for a very long time.
In this context, it is a matter of suspense whether Amit Shah’s tour of the State would put a full stop to the confusion in the BJP or not?
Another interesting development will take place during the tour of Amit Shah. According to reports, Amit Shah and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan are likely to meet for the election campaign.
At the same time, talks are likely to be held for political alliance between the two parties. Jana Sena is asking BJP for 20 assembly seats to contest in Telangana.
However, the BJP is planning to give six to 10 seats to the Jana Sena. Will Amit Shah’s visit give clarity on Jana Sena-BJP alliance? If Amit Shah meets Pawan Kalyan, will Jana Sena join hands with BJP in Telangana? Will the JSP settle for the seats given to it and say yes to the alliance?
The visit of Shah will answer all these questions. BJP leaders are saying that Janasena party is likely to be allotted Sherlingampally, Kukatpally, Wyra, Kothagudem, Khammam, Madhira, Kodada, Huzurnagar and a few other assembly seats in the combined Nalgonda district.
