BRS Leaders Visit Unemployed Youth Who Attempted Suicide Over Job Notification Delay
The BRS leaders criticised the state government and alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's statements and policies have caused distress among unemployed youth. They also questioned whether unemployed candidates had committed any wrongdoing to face such difficulties.
Hyderabad: BRS leaders, including former minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, visited unemployed youth Venu Kumar, who is undergoing treatment in a hospital after allegedly attempting suicide over the delay in government job notifications.
Venu Kumar reportedly expressed deep frustration over what he described as the Congress government’s failure to fulfil its promises of a job calendar and recruitment of 2 lakh jobs every year.
During the interaction, he alleged that unemployed youth had worked hard to bring the Congress government to power after being assured of employment opportunities, but were now feeling betrayed.

Venu Kumar reportedly said that even the recently issued police recruitment notifications had failed to satisfy unemployed aspirants. He expressed anguish over his personal circumstances, stating that his mother is mentally challenged and his father is unwell, leaving him responsible for taking care of his family.
He further claimed that he had submitted applications several times seeking an Indiramma house, but had received no assistance.
Speaking about his situation, Venu Kumar allegedly said that unemployed youth had supported the Congress hoping for jobs and better opportunities, but now feel that their problems have only increased.
The BRS leaders expressed solidarity with Venu Kumar and his family and assured him of their support. They also demanded that the government address the concerns of unemployed youth and fulfil its recruitment promises.
The incident has once again brought attention to the concerns of unemployed aspirants over government recruitment, job notifications and employment opportunities in Telangana.
