Hyderabad: Unemployed candidates staged a flash protest at Indira Park Circle in Hyderabad, demanding the release of another recruitment notification for police jobs and an increase in the age limit for applicants.
The protesters demanded that the government issue a fresh notification for 19,000 police vacancies, instead of limiting recruitment to the currently announced 7,437 posts. They also urged the authorities to increase the upper age limit for candidates seeking police jobs.
The unemployed candidates expressed concern that the delay in issuing recruitment notifications had caused thousands of aspirants to cross the eligibility age, depriving them of an opportunity to compete for government jobs.

During the protest, candidates raised slogans against the government and demanded immediate action on their concerns. They sought an increase in the maximum age limit to 36 years for constable posts and 38 years for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts.
The protesters also demanded an immediate reduction in the application fee, stating that the existing fee places an additional financial burden on unemployed candidates.
The unemployed candidates warned that they would intensify their agitation if the government failed to respond to their demands. They called for a comprehensive police recruitment notification that would provide opportunities to a larger number of eligible aspirants.
