Khanapur BRS MLA Rekha Nayak made a public announcement of her resignation from the BRS party.

Nirmal: Khanapur BRS MLA Rekha Nayak made a public announcement of her resignation from the BRS party.

Speaking to the media in Khanapur, Nirmal district, she expressed her reasons for leaving the party, stating, “there is no respect for women in the party.” Consequently, she has decided to part ways with the party.

She further revealed her intention to contest from Khanapur in the upcoming elections but did not disclose the party she would be affiliating with. She assured that she would make her party affiliation known in the near future.

It’s noteworthy that her husband, Shyam Nayak, had recently joined the Congress party. In light of this development, there is speculation that she might also join the Congress party.

Rekha Nayak’s dissatisfaction with the party arose because her name was omitted from the recently announced list of candidates of Assembly elections by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
