BRS represents Telangana’s ‘A’ team, not anyone’s ‘B’ team, affirms KTR
KTR pointed to the political turmoil in states like Karnataka, where there is a race for the Chief Minister's post, and instability in Maharashtra, questioning how a state can develop and prosper without a stable government.
Hyderabad: Telangana Minister and BRS working president, K T Rama Rao (KTR), declared that the BRS is the ‘A’ team for the people of Telangana and not aligned with any ‘B’ team.
Speaking at a meeting with industry leaders held in a private hotel in Somajiguda, KTR emphasized that the stable government and capable leadership provided by Chief Minister KCR were the driving forces behind companies choosing to invest in Telangana, relocating from states like Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
KTR pointed to the political turmoil in states like Karnataka, where there is a race for the Chief Minister’s post, and instability in Maharashtra, questioning how a state can develop and prosper without a stable government. He stressed that the industrial sector is particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of political instability.
KTR highlighted the example of Kaynes Technology, a Mysuru-based company that decided to establish its unit in Telangana after the BRS government allocated land within 10 days. He mentioned that the company had initially approached the Congress government in Karnataka for land allocation but did not receive any assurances. Impressed by the performance of the BRS government, Kaynes Technology chose to set up its new unit in Kongara Kalan.
KTR also discussed the power crisis in Karnataka, which adversely affected farmers and other sectors, contrasting it with the power stability in Telangana. He noted that Chief Minister KCR’s vision had boosted Telangana’s installed power capacity from 7,000 MW to 24,000 MW, preventing power crises in the state.
Additionally, KTR highlighted that the BRS government had secured loans and invested them in productive sectors like energy, irrigation, and healthcare. He encouraged comparing the performance of the Congress and BJP governments in Karnataka over the last decade with that of the BRS government in various sectors, asserting that statistics would provide clarity.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s statement that the BRS party is the ‘B’ team of the BJP, KTR countered by affirming that the BRS had no alliance with the BJP, not even in local body elections. He stated, “BRS represents the ‘A’ team for the people of Telangana, not anyone’s ‘B’ team.”
KTR also noted the presence of 13 political parties that neither support the NDA nor the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, asserting that both the Congress and BJP were resistant to the emergence of a new party in the country.
Addressing allegations of corruption in the BRS government made by opposition parties, KTR challenged those who raised concerns to question why the Union government had not taken any action. He posed the question, “If there was corruption or irregularities, do you think Prime Minister Narendra Modi would spare us?”, he asked.
