Cancer may no more be incurable; tumours vanished after clinical trial

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center conducted the clinical trial on 18 patients who took a drug called Dostarlimab for around six months, and in the end, every one of them saw their tumours disappear.

First time in history, a small clinical trial has found that every single rectal cancer patient who received an experimental treatment found that their cancer had vanished.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center conducted the clinical trial on 18 patients who took a drug called Dostarlimab for around six months, and in the end, every one of them saw their tumours disappear. ANI reported referring to New York Times.

According to Dr Luis A. Diaz J. of New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, this was “the first time this has happened in the history of cancer”.

Experts revealed that Dostarlimab is a drug with laboratory-produced molecules which acts as substitute antibodies in the human body. It can be a ‘potential’ cure for one of the most deadly common cancers.

18 patients who underwent treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and invasive surgery went into the drug trial. Much to their surprise and hope for other patients, they found their cancer cured.

The experts who were shocked on the findings of the trial pointed out that complete remission in every single patient is “unheard of”.
