Chatrinaka Police Respond Swiftly to Dial 100 Alert
According to a press note issued on May 15, 2026, from Chatrinaka Police Station, Hyderabad City Police, the incident came to light after police received a Dial 100 distress call regarding an unidentified young girl found crying alone.
Upon receiving the alert, Police Constable PC-30711 immediately rushed to the location.
Officials stated that the child appeared traumatized and frightened and was initially unable to communicate properly.
Police personnel comforted the girl and ensured her safety before beginning efforts to identify her family.
Lost Girl Identified as Siddeshwari Alias Sanjana
During inquiry in nearby areas, police successfully traced the child’s mother, identified as Smt. Mahananda.
According to her statement, the girl was identified as Siddeshwari alias Sanjana, aged about 9 years and studying in the 5th standard.
The family are originally residents of Bidar, Karnataka.
Police said the family had travelled to Ambika Nagar, Uppuguda, to attend a relative’s function when the child accidentally lost her way and got separated from family members.
Child Safely Handed Over to Mother
After completing the inquiry and counseling process, police safely handed over the minor girl to her mother.
Police officials advised the family members to exercise proper care and vigilance regarding children, especially during public gatherings and family functions.
