Craze for mobile phone takes teenager’s life

Hyderabad: A teenage boy committed suicide in his house in Nandigama on the city outskirts on Tuesday, after his father scolded him for spending long hours with his mobile phone.

The boy was an intermediate student at a private college in Shadnagar. 17-year-old boy was reportedly seen with the mobile phone in his hand all the time.

After warning him several times, his father scolded him on Tuesday too after spotting him with phone.

Upset over this, the boy ended his life by hanging from the ceiling fan. Family members found him hanging after they returned home.

A case was booked by the Nandigama police and investigation is underway.
