In the Sahatwar area of Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident occurred where an elderly father lost his life after sustaining severe injuries while intervening in a fight between his two sons. The local police have taken action by filing a case against both brothers and their wives.
According to police sources, Moti Chandra (80), a resident of ward number one in Sahatwar town, became embroiled in a dispute over property distribution on Sunday night with his son Bablu Ram, Bablu Ram’s wife Shivakumari Devi, Amar Ram, and Amar Ram’s wife Neetu Devi.
During the altercation, Moti Chandra sustained grave injuries, prompting concerned locals and family members to rush him to the district hospital. Tragically, Moti Chandra succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment late at night.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police stated on Monday that a case has been registered against the two sons and their two daughters-in-law under Sections 323, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The deceased’s body has been seized and sent for post-mortem examination. Further steps will be taken based on the findings of the post-mortem report.
