The mosque at Shamshabad was bulldozed earlier this week amidst heavy police presence. MIM and MBT leaders and local people staged strong protest against the demolition and demanded action against officials who demolished the Masjid-e Khaja Mahmood. A massive rally was also taken out in Shamsabad on Wednesday.

Bowing down to the pressure the government finally permitted reconstruction of the mosque. After getting permission, Friday prayer was offered at the site and foundation was also laid for reconstruction.
