GHMC Commissioner R.V Karnan directed engineering and sanitation officials to immediately begin desilting works in the affected drains.

He instructed officials to improve drainage flow and prepare a permanent solution to prevent future waterlogging in vulnerable locations.

The Commissioner also reviewed ongoing civic works and pre-monsoon preparedness activities being carried out in the area.

Instructions were issued for timely completion of all works on priority basis.
