Going to Kuwait just got easier, major restriction lifted

Kuwait City: Good news for individuals wishing to travel to Kuwait as applying for visit visas for citizens of countries restricted from entry into Kuwait has now become easier.

According to an international news agency report, individuals restricted from entering Kuwait can now submit their visit visa applications directly to the relevant authorities without the need for a return air ticket to Kuwait’s national carrier (Kuwait Airways or Jazeera Airways), for security clearance (No Objection Certificate).

Reportedly, the Residence Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Interior has issued instructions to accept applications from citizens of 8 banned countries for security clearance without the requirement of a return air ticket.

However, it is important to note that obtaining the return ticket is necessary at the time when the sponsor obtains security clearance from the relevant authorities of the Ministry of Interior.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait imposes entry restrictions without obtaining high-level security clearance on citizens of 8 countries, namely Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, and Sudan.

Visa applications from citizens of these countries will have to pass through the process of high-level security clearance.
