Haj 2022: CGI, Jeddah allocates tentative quota of 56,601 to India, 1724 to Telangana

Hyderabad: The Council General of India (CGI), Jeddah has allocated 56,601 as total tentative quota of Haj Committee, including 1724 to Haj pilgrims of Telangana and 1157 to Andhra Pradesh pilgrims, Telangana State Haj Committee informed the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai on Friday.
In a statement issued here, Executive Officer of Telangana State Haj Committee, B Shafiullah, said the selected Haj pilgrims will get SMS directly from the Haj Committee of India for the conduct of draw of lots (Qurrah).
The Haj Pilgrims of Andhra Pradesh will proceed from Hyderabad Embarkation Point.
Due to the paucity of time left after the Haj announcement, the Intending Haj Pilgrims are hereby informed that they should get themselves ready in all respect for proceeding to Haj. This year for Haj-2022, the Haj Committee of India will conduct a draw of lots directly of all state Haj Committees through online before April 30, said the statement.
The Telangana State Haj Committee has received around 4600 Haj forms for Haj-2022, the process of scrutiny and verification are being done by Telangana State Haj Committee and in progress.
Soon after conducting the draw by the Haj Committee of India directly online, the selected pilgrims will be advised to deposit the amount and travel documents immediately, which will be notified separately.
The Telangana State Haj Committee shall also arrange Haj training camps and Meningitis Vaccination Camp, which is compulsory.
All departure arrangements of Telangana States and Andhra Pradesh States such as accommodation, Issue of foreign exchange, Issue of Passports with Visas, Issue of Boarding Passes will be arranged at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad as per previous practice.
The Haj Flights from Hyderabad Embarkation Point will be scheduled from mid-June, 2022. The Haj pilgrims have to follow all Covid-19 protocols, right from their departure from India.
