Minister T Harish Rao has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for opposing Rythu Bandhu disbursal.

Hyderabad: Minister T Harish Rao has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for opposing Rythu Bandhu disbursal.

Speaking at a press conferences at Telangana Bhavan here on Thursday, Harish Rao said the Congress had exposed its true colours by lodging a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) seeking the stoppage of Rythu Bandhu disbursal and it had once again proved itself that it is a party of anti-farmer.

The Rythu Bandhu is not a new scheme and it is not designed for the elections. Under the Rythu Bandhu scheme, about 69 farmers in Telangana are getting benefited and about Rs.75,000 crores have so far credited into the accounts of farmers, Harish Rao said.

The Minister said the Congress leaders are caught in fear that farmers will not cast their votes for the Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls.

That’s the reason they have catched a conspiracy against farmers and lodged the complaint with the ECI opposing the implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme, he pointed out.

Reminding that the Congress government in Karnataka had failed to fulfill its electoral promises, Harish Rao said that the people from Karnataka were coming to Kodangal and Gadwal areas and were staging protests against the Congress government demanding adequate power supply to all segments.

He cautioned that the Rythu Bandhu scheme would be stopped and power would not be supplied beyond more than three hours in Telangana if the Congress was voted to power.

Harish Rao said the entire farming community in Telangana is now with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao despite the Congress party creating troubles and asked the farmers to teach a fitting lesson to the grand old party by defeating in the upcoming Assembly polls.
