Hijab row: Here’s what Sikh brother says about Muslim Hijab?

Hyderabad: Strongly condemning the hijab row which erupted in educational institutions of Karnataka, a Sikh brother says “Hijab is the ornament of them (Muslim women).”

Expressing solidarity with Muslims in their protest against discrimination of Muslim women on the basis of their attire, the Sikh brother says if need arises Sikh brothers will take to streets to protest against To stop hijab ban in educational institutions.

He expressed fear that today they are opposing hijab, tomorrow they will say that it is not necessary for Sikhs to wear turban.

The hijab row started last month with few students of Udupi Government Pre-University College wearing hijab being denied permission to attend classes. The students later went on protest refusing to attend classes without hijab. The issue became a controversy and spread to other districts, leading to tension and even violence.
