At a public event on Friday, Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali slapped one of his personal security officers. This incident, captured in a widely circulated video on social media, occurred during the inaugural ceremony of the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme at Ameerpet Government High School, where Mr. Ali was accompanied by Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
As the program commenced, Mr. Ali was invited onto the stage, where he promptly approached Mr. Yadav to convey birthday wishes. In the video, Mr. Ali can be seen searching for a bouquet and shawl to present to Mr. Yadav. Growing agitated, he ultimately slapped the on-duty officer. The officer quickly procured the items and handed them to the Minister.
Reacting to the incident, Congress MLA from Mulugu, Seethakka, asserted that Mr. Ali displayed impatience. She emphasized that he should promptly apologize for his actions. Drawing from her experiences touring villages and meeting people, Seethakka expressed her deep respect for the police, noting that security personnel and gunmen have always treated her like family.
