Hum kafan baandh ke nikal aaenge: cleric warns against ‘bulldozer action’
He accused police of taking 'one-sided' action along religious lines when it came to arresting the alleged miscreants.
Kanpur: Lashing out at the government, a Muslim cleric in Kanpur today said “Agar humare ghar hi todne hain toh hum kafan bandh ke nikal aaenge.”
His reaction came days after a violent altercation broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. After the Kanpur administration said that the illegal buildings from which stones were pelted would be demolished, the Kanpur Qazi warned against taking ‘bulldozer action’ against the accused. He accused police of taking ‘one-sided’ action along religious lines when it came to arresting the alleged miscreants.
Times Now quoted Prashant Kumar, ADG (Law and Order) having said last week “The situation has been brought under control. Identification of the accused is being done. Action will be taken against them, and their illegal properties will also be demolished”.
