Hyderabad: Case booked against Raja Singh for singing offensive song

Hyderabad: Police booked a case against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Goshamahal legislator T Raja Singh on charges of making a provocative speech and singing offensive songs during the Sri Ram Navami procession on Sunday at Shahinayathgunj.

During a speech Raja Singh made some provocative statements against a particular group and also sang some offensive songs.

The police booked a case on the basis of a complaint and invoked Sections 153A, 295A, 504 and 505 of Indian Penal Code. Telangana Today reported.

Another case was registered against Raja Singh and a few of his followers for allegedly creating nuisance by playing DJ systems and parking vehicles on the road, obstructing free flow of traffic on the route.  They were booked for playing DJ systems and obstructing traffic, thereby violating the conditions of the permission issued by the Hyderabad Police on Sunday.

The cases were booked under Section 188 of IPC and Section 21/76 of CP Act.
