The accused allegedly targeted minor girls on Instagram, lured them with luxury lifestyles, and later blackmailed them. The accused are under arrest and investigation is ongoing.

Case Highlights Raise Concern Over Social Media Misuse

The case came to light after Hyderabad police uncovered a pattern where the accused used Instagram to approach girls, especially from influential families.

Police revealed:

  • The accused posed as wealthy individuals
  • They created online content to attract minors
  • Around 150 girls were following Arjun’s account

This incident has raised serious concerns about online safety and misuse of social media platforms.

Allegations of Exploitation and Financial Extortion

According to the investigation:

  • Victims were lured with promises of luxury experiences
  • They were taken in expensive cars across Hyderabad
  • The accused allegedly recorded videos and used them for blackmail

In one instance:

  • A minor girl reportedly paid Rs 13 lakh

Police also found that:

  • Around 19 minor girls were affected

Authorities are verifying more details as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police Action and Investigation

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar personally questioned the accused for three hours at Jubilee Hills Police Station.

Police confirmed:

  • Over 10 accused persons involved
  • Instagram profile of the main accused has been locked
  • The role of Meena Kumari is under investigation

The accused have been arrested and further investigation is underway.
