Hyderabad: Major fire breaks out in a firecracker shop

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a fireworks store in the Suncity area on the outskirts of Hyderabad, near Rajendera Nagar in the Ranga Reddy district on Saturday morning.

According to the police, the fire originated in a temporary firecracker shop and quickly spread to a neighboring food court, leading to a cooking gas cylinder blast that further ignited three additional shops.

Upon receiving the alert, four fire tenders rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.

Police suspect that an electrical short circuit may have triggered the fire.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, the police added.
